Igabiro Training Institute of Agriculture (ITIA) is owned by the North-Western Diocese (NWD) of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (ELCT/NWD). It was established in 1963 and has been serving as a training centre for extension, agents, tutors, researchers, entrepreneurs required in the country to provide support for rural family population. ITIA possesses basic training facilities to cater for crop and livestock disciplines including books, computers, audio visual equipment, farm machinery, tutorial rooms, laboratories, transport pools, banana plantations, forestry, coffee plantation, piggery unit, dairy farm, and workshop that make possible for the institute to match with the curriculum in practical training.

The institute is recognized by the National Council for Technical Education and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET) as a private institution with full registration (Cert.No. REG/ANE/018) and Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) (Cert.No. VET/KGR/PR/2019/C/070). The institute offer the following courses:

Animal Husbandry
Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)
Electrical Installation

NTA Level
Basic Technician Certificate in Agriculture Production (NTA level 4)
Basic Technician Certificate in Animal Health and Production (NTA level 4)
Ordinary Diploma in Agriculture production (NTA level 6)
Ordinary Diploma in Animal Health and Production (NTA level 6)
